Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that corruption was a major hurdle in foreign investment in the country. "There is no future for the people of Pakistan if the incumbent rulers are not put behind the bars," Khan said addressing a party rally at Abbottabad Degree College Ground on Sunday. He said that to holds corrupt rulers accountable for their misdeed was essential to bring Pakistan on the path of development and prosperity.

The PTI chief said it was corruption that was depriving masses of education and employment. He said people are the biggest power to prevent rulers from corruption. He said PML-N-led government had stolen public money worth Rs 62 billion. He said the incumbent prime minister was caught red-handed hence corrupt people have to be taken to task to make Pakistan prosper.

"Panama Papers leaks case has exposed money laundering of Nawaz Sharif. Saeed Ahmed has been appointed president of National Bank of Pakistan as a reward to help Nawaz Sharif launder the money," he claimed. Imran said that people are the biggest force against corruption. He said the nation who differentiated between slavery and freedom could never be enslaved. He said it was a pity that loans were taken by someone else and paid by the nation.

"Nawaz Sharif didn't keep anything in his name, instead, he acquired things under his children's name," he said. PTI chief paid tribute to the struggle of Kashmiris saying they were being brutally oppressed by the Indian forces since years. Senior PTI leaders from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the central leaders also spoke. Provincial minister Mushtaq Ghani said 20,000 chairs were arranged on the ground to accommodate PTI's supporters.
